There’s absolutely nothing little about Little Pipe Cay, a $100 million (around R1,6 billion) private island in the Bahamas.
The price tag is huge, the island is expansive, and most impressively, it is fully developed, fully furnished, and fully loaded with all the things a person would need or want while surrounded by crystalline waters and scenic vistas.
Nestled in the Exumas archipelago, this 40-acre island comes with multiple homes and cottages, all with spectacular panoramas of the ocean.
Dock frontage also spans great lengths, accommodating boats, and a barn loaded with all the fun watersports equipment such as kayaks, snorkel gear, and wakeboards.
A rare gem, for sure.
Let’s zoom in, shall we?
Ah, more water. Thank goodness.
Robb Report is here to add more sparkle to this gem:
Six of the structures come fully furnished and are move-in ready. The main residence, for instance, is 5,300 square feet and has a primary bedroom with dual bathrooms and walk-in closets.
Nearby is a separate structure for entertaining, which features a dining area, a pub, a spa and a gym. There are four guest houses on the property, plus storehouses and staff quarters.
This perfect “little” island paradise has investor and businessman Michael Dingman, who previously owned the property, to thank for the current infrastructure:
Annoyingly, considering how far-flung island life has become even more attractive over the years since the COVID-19 pandemic, the price of Little Pipe Cay surged by $15 million since it was first listed in 2018.
But with 11 beds and 12 baths, you might be able to turn a profit by transforming the property into a resort – something similar to what Richard Branson did with Necker Island, say?
It is close enough to Miami for that to work out reasonably well.
Just factor in the annual $1,5 million running costs for upkeep and maintenance.
