Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking trial is finally underway and already some big names will be squirming in their seats.
Yesterday the court heard from Jeffrey Epstein’s former pilot, Larry Visoski, regarding the comings and goings on Epstein’s infamous private jet.
Visoski named both Bill Clinton and Donald Trump as those who travelled on the jet, as well as Prince Andrew, Maine Sen. George Mitchell, Ohio Sen. John Glenn, and actor Kevin Spacey.
The pilot said that he recalled flying Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims she was raped by Prince Andrew.
A spokesperson for Clinton has previously admitted to him being aboard Epstein’s plane four times in 2002 and 2003, but stressed that the former president knew nothing about Epstein’s “terrible crimes.”
Here’s CNN:
Visoski, the prosecution’s first witness, testified Monday and Tuesday about his experiences as Epstein’s pilot beginning in 1991.
He testified Maxwell frequently traveled on Epstein’s private jet between 1994 and 2004 and would often facilitate travel plans with Visoski for Epstein. Maxwell was Epstein’s “number two” and was his “go-to person to handle everything else that was not business related,” the pilot testified…
Logging the names of all passengers on Epstein’s private flights was not a priority, but they tried their best to be accurate, Visoski said.
Visoski said that while he never knew the exact ages of the people aboard he never thought there to be underaged girls aboard:
“I never saw any sexual activity, no,” Visoski testified. When asked if he’d seen sex acts with underaged girls he said, “Absolutely not.”
Visoski testified he never saw sex toys, used condoms or clothes strewn about in Epstein’s planes, nor any indication sexual activity took place on the planes, although the cockpit door was always kept closed during flights.
That contradicts the reports of many others who flew on the so-called ‘Lolita Express’.
The pilot added that Epstein had paid for his children’s schooling and he also signed a non-disclosure agreement as a part of his employment.
Yesterday’s court proceedings also included testimony from a woman under the pseudonym “Jane”.
She first met Maxwell and Epstein at a prestigious summer camp for music students and was invited by the pair for tea at Epstein’s Palm Beach home.
Her mother attended the tea with her and the pair gained the mother’s trust, leading to future unsupervised visits to the home.
She alleges that Maxwell was frequently present while she had sexual relations with Epstein when she was just 14.
Below via the BBC, with a warning that graphic descriptions follow:
In graphic detail, she described her alleged abuse and said that Ms Maxwell, who she said was present for much of it, was “very casual” about the encounters.
Jane said that Ms Maxwell would talk to her about sex, and that she soon began visiting Epstein’s home every week or two.
She said her first sexual experience came when they were having a discussion about her future.
She said that Epstein led her from his office to his pool house, then pulled down his pants and started masturbating.
“I was frozen in fear, I had never seen a penis before,” the witness said. “I was terrified and felt gross and like I felt ashamed.”
Not too long after that incident, she had her first sexual encounter with Epstein at his home in Palm Beach (pictured above).
In total, she says she travelled with Epstein and Maxwell about 10 times when she was aged between 14 and 16.
She eventually received a $2 million payment from a victim fund set up by Epstein’s estate.
The defence began their cross-examination of Jane yesterday and that is set to continue today.
Four accusers are expected to testify at the trial, with Maxwell facing eight charges of sex trafficking and other crimes.
