I feel slightly guilty writing about this, because maybe if we just left it alone the story would fade away into obscurity.
Then again, Iqbal Survé, Piet Rampedi, and IOL seem determined to beat this drum regardless of how ridiculous they look.
So we were promised “explosive findings” from that report into the decuplets story, and we were given something explosive when Survé and his cronies held their media briefing.
In the same way that diarrhoea is explosive.
Human trafficking, mysterious Nigerian doctors, and muti all featured as Survé promised a docuseries published over 12 weeks.
Never mind that the actual ruling from Independent Media’s Press Ombudsman found that Rampedi failed to apply the basic principles of journalism, labelling the story a “hoax”.
QAnon has nothing on the internal workings of the Survé mind, so let’s take a look at Baby Trade: Tracking the Truth.
Here’s IOL:
Independent Media’s docuseries chronicles the saga of the decuplets, the characters involved and what has since unfolded. The content is disturbing, thought provoking and every parent should watch it and be aware of the dangers they and their kids can potentially face. “Trafficking is a real and ever-present danger,” confirmed Dr Survé.
The Baby Trade – Tracking the Truth… because the truth should never be trafficked.
Alrighty then.
Strap in:
Survé has said multiple times that it will be a “Netflix-like” series.
Ja, nee, sure, hey.
Keep digging that hole.
