The ever-popular phrase “treat yo’self” can too easily lead to empty pockets and an even more burnt-out headspace than before.
Especially as the end of the year approaches, and our “well, I deserve it” attitude runs rampant.
One just has to do a little bit more shopping around to find the best, most affordable deals to allow the sentiment to work as it intended to.
Well, there’s no need to look any further if you are thinking what we are thinking when it comes to the ultimate end-of-year treat.
Bubbles, delectable little snacks and desserts, stunning views, and a lovely day out is what we have on the cards, all available at our favourite spot in the Franschhoek Winelands.
Back by popular demand, Anthonij Rupert Wyne’s Mini High Tea & Cap Classique pairing is now available until the end of the year.
The High Tea menu includes four delicious treats, paired with two award-winning L’Ormarins Cap Classiques:
All of this, for an absolute steal at R125 per person.
This limited edition pairing is served from Tuesdays to Saturdays at the Anthonij Rupert Tasting Room, where bookings are essential.
You can book your slot here.
If you were hoping for something a little bit more involved, there’s another High Tea option available for R250 per person.
This includes an inventive selection of sweet and savoury items, freshly baked on the premises and following seasonal flavours.
A sample menu of what to expect includes the following:
The cost also includes a Premier Cru tea OR an Artisanal Coffee OR a glass of L’Ormarins Brut NV.
Oh, honey.
Booking is also essential for this option, preferably done at least 48 hours in advance, and ideally for a group of four to 10 guests.
If the food and drinks aren’t enough to convince you, perhaps knowing that the Anthonij Rupert Estate is surrounded by the picture-perfect Groot Drakenstein Mountains will do it.
Go ahead, “treat yo’self” without worrying about breaking the bank.
