Honestly, the Prince of Wales does a good job of appearing adorable, with childlike wonder, sometimes.
Watching him drink his beer with his mask on was a highlight, and so was his party playlist released on Spotify.
Yesterday, Prince Charles did the rounds at the Trust Young Entrepreneurs event in Brixton, meeting various entrepreneurs whose business the trust has helped fund.
At some point, he had his mind read by a card trick magician, and he couldn’t have been more delighted.
Amidst all the entrepreneurs at the event, Charles stopped over at Chris Wall, otherwise known as ‘Chris Reads Minds’.
Wall is a card trick magician and did a mind-bending number on Charles, who seemed utterly impressed.
Per The Daily Mail, Wall asked Charles to think of a name, number, and colour.
Charles chose blue, 12, and after some pondering (because the Prince has undoubtedly met so many people in his 72 years of life) went with the name of his eldest grandchild, George.
Wall then made his prediction about what Charles had chosen:
“So we have cash, an NUS card which gets you a free McFlurry and contactless debit card which you can get up to £100 now,” he said, prompting the prince to chuckle.
He then got the prince to name a playing card. The royal chose the ace of clubs.
Alright, you can watch the rest over here:
See? Everyone enjoys magic, even a royal.
Prince Charles commended the magician, saying that he has been “a huge success” and that he has the gift of the gab, too.
Wall is from south London and joined the Prince’s Trust Enterprise scheme in order to start his own business:
“It taught me both fundamental and advance business skills and quite honestly I wouldn’t be here without it,” he said.
“I am now performing for the likes of Netflix and Amazon. It was fantastic just to be able to thank the prince in person.”
Here’s his Chris Reads Minds Virtual Magician for Hire Trailer to get more of an idea:
You’re not alone in wanting more card tricks right about now.
This YouTube magician claims to also be able to read your mind through the computer screen, and even includes a quick tutorial on how to do it to your friends:
Yep, he got me in that first one, alright.
Also, don’t forget the winner of the most recent America’s Got Talent season, soulful magician Dustin Tavella:
