The Gates family enjoy a proper celebration.
Jennifer Gates just had her stunning $2 million fairytale wedding, marrying Egyptian Olympian Nayel Nassar.
Now it is her dad’s turn to go big.
It seems as though Bill, the fourth richest man in the world (as of now), celebrated his 66th birthday with Jeff Bazos, the second richest man in the world.
On a $300 000 a day private yacht.
At an elite beach club in a private cove in Bodrum, Turkey.
Here’s more from South China Morning Post:
The Microsoft co-founder, who has an estimated net worth of US$137 billion, celebrated his 66th birthday with Bezos and 50 other guests at Sea Me Beach in Fethiye, beside the Mediterranean, on Wednesday, October 27…
I think we can assume that fellow billionaire Elon Musk wasn’t invited as he was too busy being the world’s wealthiest man, and debating whether he should solve world hunger or go for a ride on one of his spaceships.
Eish, anyway, back to the birthday bash.
Apparently, all of Gates’ guests were helicoptered in from his megayacht, Benetti Lana to the private luxury lagoon.
Of course, that means there are state-of-the-art amenities onboard, including “a gym, jacuzzi, beach club and swimming pool”.
She sure is a beauty:
Outside and inside:
Unfortunately, there are no photos of the event itself as the crew and partygoers were not allowed to have their phones on hand.
Although, it has been reported that Gates’ birthday celebration continued for roughly four hours, with food and drinks galore.
Local seafood, sushi, and pizza were on the menu, with plenty of champagne to wash it all down, according to reports.
While guests disembarked on SeaMe Beach in Fethiye, renowned for its gorgeous beaches with clear water, Amazon founder Bezos returned by helicopter to his yacht ‘Flying Fox’ docked in Gokova.
The pair of billionaires have been criticised for using toys that wreak havoc on the environment.
A superyacht can release 7 020 tonnes of carbon dioxide into the air per year, while a helicopter can emit almost 100 kilograms of carbon dioxide.
Then again, when have the rules and consequences ever really applied to them?
Party on, boys, we know you will anyway.
