The last time we ‘saw’ Kanye West go incognito in public, he was wearing what looked like an artist’s rag over his head.

Sorry, “Ye” now, as the rapper just got clearance by an LA judge to change his name legally to the shorthand.

While some say these cloth masks make him look like “an orc from The Lord of the Rings” (a look we think should be reserved for real orc Harvey Weinstein), or even “a more menacing cousin of Shrek“, he seems to have stepped up his mask game in recent days.

Just in time for Halloween?

The latest sighting sees West wearing a white prosthetic mask that makes him look like a dummy in need of CPR:

Per Page Six, the wannabe politician was seen wearing his strangest mask for yet another coffee meeting with former Trump fixer Michael Cohen on the Upper East Side yesterday:

The pair, as well as PR whiz Ronn Torossian and Israeli judo champ Or Sassoon, were spotted at Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar at Loews Regency Hotel.

According to Cohen, West was wearing the mask to try and avoid attention from fans who were “mobbing” him at the coffee bar:

“We were just getting together,” Cohen — who met with West at the same location earlier this month — told us, without elaborating on what was discussed.

“The purpose [of the mask] was so that people would not recognise him … the first 10 minutes we sat down, he was mobbed by people … who wanted photos, and to say hello. So he put on this mask to give him some anonymity, which interestingly enough, did not really work.”

Interesting, indeed.

Cohen, by the way, was sentenced to three years in prison in December 2018 for tax fraud and other charges.

He has been under house arrest recently, with 33 days left on his sentence, which he says allows him to leave the house during certain hours on various days.

5WPR CEO Torossian said that West was walking around freely with the mask and without security:

He added, “There was no security, he was just wandering the streets with the mask. He was a pleasant guy. He and Michael Cohen were talking about real estate.”

A day earlier, West had also been spotted at JFK airport wearing a similar mask, although that one “appeared to be of a Caucasian woman with some smoky eyeshadow around the eyes”:
