The last time we saw James Corden, he was holding up traffic in Los Angeles dressed as a giant mouse and hip-thrusting at the unfortunate motorists.
His latest is something a little more different, and perhaps a little less embarrassing.
Corden had the former James Bond star Daniel Craig on set for Thursday’s episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, in which the pair recreated Hollywood’s most beloved blockbusters.
The actor and talk show host participated in a skit in which they recreated 24 famous films in 10 minutes, and the only reason it wasn’t so cringy is thanks to Craig who really bolstered the performance.
Using a green screen, or rather a blue screen, the pair tackled popular blockbusters and classic films from over the years, including Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, King Kong, Speed, Fast & Furious, Grease, Gone with the Wind, Pulp Fiction, The Exorcist, The Godfather, Gladiator, The Avengers, Jaws, Titanic, Avatar, E.T., Star Wars, Batman, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Dirty Dancing, and (surprise!) Craig’s swan song as Bond in No Time To Die.
Special cameos from Christopher Lloyd and Geena Davis were also part of the fun as they explored iconic moments from Back to the Future and Thelma & Louise somewhere in there, too.
During the transitions between each film, Craig and Corden had to quickly change into different costumes, with many segments also including wigs and props.
Besides some laughter, because the two of them looked utterly ridiculous most of the time, there was also some light sweating and panting as they were moving between scenes pretty fast.
Surprising from a 007 agent, not gonna lie.
It might take the energy out of you, too, or it might not. Either way, check it out:
Dare I say that the best part was the last James Bond scene in which Craig fake punched Corden in the face?
Nah, the best part was when Craig said: “And now for the last time … the name’s Bond, James Bond.”
