The Russian Government’s Birthday Tweet For Putin Was Off The Charts

The official account for the Russian government wished President Putin for his 69th Birthday with an outlandish photoshopped image and an embarrassing hashtag.

Let’s just get one thing straight, we are not here to celebrate Putin’s 69th birthday that happened on Thursday.

That’s because we don’t want to have the word “happy” anywhere near a dictator notorious for rigging the Russian elections so that he can stay in power, among other things.

Rather, we are simply pointing out the bizarre way in which the Russian government chose to wish him.

The official account for the Russian government photoshopped the president, decked out in a suit, mid-stride alongside a rather large bear on its hind legs.

The bear is Russia’s national symbol, and the golden field is just… next level:

It’s the #Putin69 for me.

While the tweet announces he is “one of the most popular world leaders”, Putin has actually imprisoned most of his political opponents such as Alexei Navalny.
