Sometimes, one gets the feeling that certain people attend protests or rallies just so that they can post a picture on Instagram saying they were there.
That lady above is a prime example, which you’ll see for yourself soon enough.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’s Jordan Klepper has spent much of the pandemic chatting with Donald Trump supporters, those who took part in the Capitol riot on January 6, anti-vaxxers, and the like.
Face masks in American schools is currently a hot button topic, with school board meetings across the country turning political.
As Salon points out, they’re quickly becoming the frontline in a new culture war:
It was into this “thunderdome”… [that] Klepper stepped this week in an attempt to better understand the psyche of anti-maskers who had gathered for a protest against school COVID-19 prevention measures…
It’s hard to say what exactly Klepper was able to learn from the segment — except for the fact that not many of his interviewees knew what they were talking about.
If you want to protest against face mask mandates in schools, that’s your right.
But at least try and educate yourself regarding what you’re actually protesting, or else you end up looking like some of these people in the video below.
Informed discussion is also tough when the ‘do your own research’ crowd talks about how Satanists supposedly stand six feet apart and wear masks during their rituals.
In response to The Daily Show posting the video to Twitter, The Church Of Satan felt obliged to weigh in:
Indeed.
Over to Jordan and the ill-informed:
I’m getting strong Chabad De La Fontaine vibes from that woman at the end.
By the way, masks work.
