Conor McGregor doesn’t need to worry about diversifying his income stream.
During the 12-month period ending May 1, 2021, the Irish fighter earned $180 million, making him the world’s highest-paid athlete.
When he’s not fighting in the UFC Octagon, McGregor enjoys fighting at MTV award ceremonies and is also partial to throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.
He took to Wrigley Field yesterday ahead of the game between the Chicago Cubs and the Minnesota Twins, wearing his customary suit.
Perhaps he should have worn an outfit a little more conducive to pitching because things didn’t go very well.
That’s putting it mildly:
The smiling catcher’s change of expression is priceless.
At least he could laugh at himself:

His effort drew comparisons with another infamous first pitch from rapper 50 Cent:

We should also mention Dr. Anthony Fauci’s horrific effort last year:
Both Fiddy and Fauci have an excuse – they’re not professional baseball players.
The same cannot be said for Jake Brentz, who threw what has been dubbed the worst pitch in Major League Baseball history last week.
To finish, let’s take a closer look at where it all went wrong for the Irishman:
