The semi-finals for America’s Got Talent is done and dusted and now the finalists are down to 10 amazing acts, one of which is our favourite, quick-change artist Léa Kyle.
The 25-year-old French magician landed Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer when she wowed everyone with her speedy outfit changes in July.
She then delivered the goods again in her quarter-final showpiece.
In the semi-finals, she won the praise of Simon Cowell, who said her latest act was a “million-dollar performance”.
This was even after having a small wardrobe malfunction that stalled the act, per Huff Post:
About 25 seconds in, her skirt briefly refused to come off. Kyle has seamlessly mades clothes appear to fly onto her and disintegrate, so the gaffe came as a surprise.
But with the swipe of an umbrella, the skirt vanished and she powered through to earn praise from judge Simon Cowell.
The technical difficulty landed her with an Instant Save, which is when voters can vote to save one of three acts.
Nine-year-old opera singer, Victory Brinker, as well as UniCircle Flow, a group of unicyclists, also scored Instant Saves.
We have high hopes for Kyle in the final, as her semi-final performance received nearly three times as many YouTube views as the next closest performer:
Kyle just needs production to step it up and make sure they do everything they can to ensure her routines go off without a hitch in the finals.
Holding thumbs for you, Léa!
