Addison Rae has gained a huge following since her humble beginnings on TikTok.

Now she is grabbing more attention with multi-picture Netflix deals, and a rapid rise to superstardom.

The 20-year-old Louisiana native has seen her fame rise along with the increase in TikTok users and influence, and now she is taking on Hollywood with her millions of followers backing her all the way.

She currently has more than 84 million followers on TikTok, which Variety says makes her the third most popular person on the platform.

She also has more than 39 million followers on Instagram and almost five million on Twitter.

Besides releasing her first single, ‘Obsessed,’ in March, Rae was also nominated for breakthrough social star at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards.

But her biggest break has come from her acting debut as the star in Netflix’s He’s All That:

He’s All That reimagines the original plot of the 1999 teen classic She’s All That.

The contemporary story follows an influencer (Addison Rae) who accepts a challenge to turn the school’s biggest loser (Tanner Buchanan) into prom king.

Highbrow stuff:

He’s All That has already reached #1 on Netflix in 78 countries and more than 55 million households are expected to watch the film within its first month of release, according to the streaming giant.

Rae is understandably stoked with her career progression:

“Getting the opportunity to work with Netflix was such a pinch me moment and now to be able to continue the relationship is beyond my wildest dreams,” Rae said.

“I’m thrilled to be able to collaborate with this incredible team and am excited to develop projects while continuing to strengthen my skills as an actress.”

Regarding her multi-picture Netflix deals, Naketha Mattocks, Netflix’s director of family film, says:

“Addison’s Rae’s charm and promise is undeniable as evidenced by He’s All That and her already passionate fan base. We’re thrilled to be part of this next phase of her burgeoning career as an actress.”

Last year, Forbes listed Rae as the number one highest earning TikTok star, pulling in a lovely $5 million.

Her net worth is estimated to be around $8 million.

She’s clearly found a very profitable way to pivot from TikTok to wider celebrity fame.
