Who knew that sneakers could be so sweet?
Well, PUMA and world-famous sweets brand Haribo clearly knew something long before we did.
Haribo has been lauded for its delicious fruit gummies for more than 100 years and has now collaborated with PUMA to bring us a mix of sweet sneakers and apparel.
The candy-styled shoe collection includes a delicious infusion of PUMA classics – Street Riders and California Pros – along with two of Haribo’s most popular candies, the Happy Cherries and signature Goldbears.
This makes the PUMA x HARIBO sneaker collection a real “treat yourself” moment if ever there was one.
Let’s take a closer look at the Street Riders, which commemorate Happy Cherries:
Hypebeast with more about these trainers:
It’s the more colourful pair of the duo, boasting a mesh and synthetic upper with a gradient fade graphic that shifts from bright red on the forefoot to lime green on the heel.
White eyestays, laces and Formstrips provide extra detail, while “window” embellishments add sugary red and yellow tones into the mix.
Co-branded tongues are done up in gold and stamped with a full-colour Haribo bear, while insoles feature a repeating cherry print. White midsoles equipped with a Happy Cherries hit work with nubbed outsoles to finalise the style.
Then we have the CA Pros, which are a little more toned-down, paying homage to Haribo’s Goldbears:
These sweet sneakers feature the classic PUMA styling with a white leather upper and gold heel overlay and piping.
Plus, they also come adorned with Haribo Goldbears trinkets, including a hangtag and heel branding.
If the gummy bear hangtags are not enough sugar for you, then bear in mind that each pair is packaged in a special box:
Both of the trainers, again, from the top:
That was just for drop one.
For drop two, PUMA x HARIBO has some bright yellow suede sneaker, too.
They are also inspired by the Haribo Goldbears and are available in four sizing options: adult, junior, toddler, and infant:
YUM.
You can shop for these trainers via PUMA’s online store.
They’ll also be in-store at PUMA stores, X-Trend, Archive, Superbalist, Shelflife, Jack Lemkus, Shesha, WE ARE EGG, and various other retailers in the country, according to Fortress of Solitude.
