The UK’s Nandi Bushell became famous last year after winning an “epic” YouTube drum battle with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
She was just 10 at the time, and Grohl called her the “best drummer in the world” in a song he wrote about her before battling it out on the drums.
With decades between them, the two have since become friends, leading to the moment when Nandi was finally able to grace the Foo Fighters stage to play the drums alongside Grohl.
I say she graced the stage because Grohl seems to idolise her just as much as she idolises him.
The two drummers met via Zoom in November 2020, a recording of which Nandi posted to her YouTube channel.
Grohl was so excited to meet the cool and collected Nandi that he likened the experience to a meeting with a Beatle.
It was during this conversation that Nandi got the ultimate invitation to play with the band on stage one day.
That dau was last Thursday at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Nandi, who is now 11, played the drums during the band’s 1997 hit, ‘Everlong’, topping off their live performance for the night.
I don’t think it is possible to be any more in awe of a drumming sequence:
She later tweeted about the moment:
It happened!!! It was #EPIC!!! Thank you so much @foofighters!!! I had the best night ever jamming with you at @TheForum! Thank you so much Mr. Grohl and Taylor! #foofighters – Full Video here: https://t.co/4xJtHT4l3w (My Daddy was screaming a lot in the video it took) pic.twitter.com/QGgZe4xtOB

Yeah, Nandi’s dad’s screams say it all.
