Remember when we were forced to read the back of air freshener and shampoo bottles while we were stuck on the loo, with nothing better to do?
Gone are the days of being bathroom product experts, though, because now we get to waste time scrolling far and wide across the internet.
And as Mashable says, the internet, which has “entirely redefined the way people waste time”, became an excellent way to stave off boredom and/or chow daylight.
I’m sure you have enough social media apps, games installed, or you are even a real fan of online casinos where you always make a deposit 10 play with 40 casino free spins that keep you entertained for a lifetime, but why not switch it up?
Here are 10 sites to waste time on:
1. r/eyebleach
This subreddit is said to be like bleach because it “washes out your eyes from all the bad stuff” you might have seen lurking on the www, lifting your spirits instead with a collection of pure things.
2. Map Crunch
Most of us can’t really travel at the moment, so you can do some exploring with this site that transports you to random Google Street View locations across the globe by tapping the green “Go” button.
You can do the same, and more, with Google Earth.
There might be something to this one, even though it is described as an ” impossibly dumb outlet.”
Just type out your frustrations, press Enter and listen to the scream as your words get sent into the void. Or just go to the top of Table Mountain for the real deal.
4. Autodraw
This site can take the age-old practice of doodling while chatting on the phone to a new level.
Doodle as you please and the site will guess what your drawing is supposed to be, which is fun for both those who can and can’t draw.
This is the one-stop-shop for all the random and useless places on the web.
The site redirects you to something new when you push the big button, which could be anything from a game to an image of a man getting slapped with an eel.
6. Flight Radar
This nifty website is a simulation of all the aircraft that are currently in the sky.
It might just be the best way to check when and if a loved one has taken off so you can do your own romantic movie airport run, or simply check what’s happening in the international skies.
7. Radio Garden
This website concentrates on all the different radio stations around the world, which you can tour to find out what each country’s favourite music is.
On this site, writer Kate Wagner critiques strange, often poorly designed homes by “folks with more money than sense (or taste)”:
ok y’all you have to see this image from a texas house that was submitted on the mcmansion hell live stream. you are simply unprepared for this. pic.twitter.com/x0KkSKDKPG

This site holds an impressive collection of emails from not-so-impressive people. In fact, most of these folks sending emails are straight up the worst.
If you want to take the drama up a notch, I recommend Lubalin on TikTok and YouTube:
10. Just this giant Wikipedia list of dogs
This title speaks for itself, but in case you were wondering, it definitely has mentions of space dogs, war dogs, and famous dogs.
For the full Mashable list, which includes more useless websites, educational websites, stunning photographs of space, creative websites, gaming websites, music websites, mood websites, and utility websites, head here.
Lean into the procrastination before it leans into you.
