Once upon a time, a 62-year-old South African billionaire married a blushing bride who was half his age.
After a year-long engagement, Kitty Spencer (30), the niece of Princess Diana, and the “suave silver fox” Michael Lewis have taken their vows, reported Channel24.
The wedding took place over the weekend at the Villa Aldo Brandini in Italy, a stunning country mansion with views of the romantic city of Rome.
Family and friends were there for the special day, except for Prince William and Prince Harry, even though Spencer went to their weddings.
In attendance were the bride’s brothers Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and Samuel Aitken, who walked her down the aisle.
Also there for the special occasion was Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her husband Ceawlin Thynn, the Marquess of Bath.
And of course, her twin sisters Eliza and Amelia, were also in attendance, with Amelia’s fiancé Greg Mallet, who was with her at the University of Cape Town.
The Daily Mail also posted some photos of other famous people present at the wedding, including Pixie Lott, Idris Elba’s wife Sabrina, and Made In Chelsea star Mark Vandelli.
But most notably in attendance must have been Dolce & Gabbana in dress form, having designed several looks for the special occasion.
Their best piece has to be the bride’s gown, a high-necked Victorian-inspired lace thing, with trendy puff sleeves and a cinched waist:

The chairperson of Foschini Ltd, Lewis is five years older than Spencer’s father, Charles.
This will be Lewis’ second marriage and his three adult children from the previous marriage were present at the wedding.
Spencer, who is said to have converted to Judaism for Lewis, is wary of the media’s obsession with her love life, mentioning to Town and Country via People:
“I just think, ‘Really, what’s that got to do with anyone else?’ It shouldn’t make a difference to anyone’s day. Who I love or don’t love, or have a crush on or don’t have a crush on, or go on a date with, I don’t know why that should be what somebody reads over their cornflakes,” Spencer said.
“As long as I keep it sacred, then it can remain so. As soon as I don’t, I don’t think you can get it back.”
She later noted her hesitation stems from her desire for privacy: “It’s not that I don’t place an importance on love. It’s because, for me, love is the most important thing in the world, and I will protect it with all my heart by not making it a topic of discussion. You open yourself up to other people having opinions, and it just isn’t relevant to anybody’s life but mine and my family’s.”
