There was no winner in last night’s R137 million PowerBall draw, meaning the jackpot rolls over to this Friday.
I’ve bought tickets, and that means I get to devote some time to daydreaming about how I would spend my vast fortune.
What do you do with your winnings is none of my concern (I ask only that you immediately quit your job), but snapping up a property in Camps Bay wouldn’t be a terrible idea.
I had a peruse through the listings on Property24, and found this three-bedroom house going for a cool R28,995 million.
Would it not have been simpler to just list it at R29 million? Does that extra R5 000 actually matter to somebody with the means to buy such a property?
Those are questions for another day. For now, we take a look around the house on Susan Avenue:
This eccentric vision was designed by the top architect Pedro Roos. Perched high above the bay it offers 180 degree vistas of its surrounding beauty.
The sea, the beach, the Twelve Apostles Mountains and Lions Head. The property has a monumental aspect with grand gates, impressive water feature, triple volumes and a huge space experience.
A very interestingly designed vaulted space which could serve as winecellar, study or sitting room, Italian kitchen.
Grand open spaces and a lifestyle experience that expands into the surrounding spaces makes this an extremely special property.
I’ve plotted out my days.
A morning spent at the beach, lunch at Café Caprice (the popular spot is closed temporarily due to adjusted level 4 lockdown restrictions, but will open soon), an afternoon dip, and home in time for sundowners by the pool.
Just make sure you wash the sand off your feet before you enter. This place looks immaculate.
Here’s one of the bedrooms:
Cracking view to wake up to.
Sure, I’ll buy a few more tickets for Friday’s PowerBall draw, with the jackpot now estimated at R145 million.
Win the lot, and you really won’t care about saving that R5 000.
