Being the president’s daughter comes with certain perks.
Just ask Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, one of Jacob Zuma’s daughters, who has been very vocal since her father was sentenced to serve 15 months behind bars for contempt of court.
On Twitter, she has tweeted out videos of a Cyril Ramaphosa poster being riddled with bullets, and stoked the fires that have now led to looting and anarchy taking hold in areas across the country.
She continues to do so, but you can bet she’s not going to be putting her own life in danger.
Comparisons to Ivanka Trump have been very popular over the past two weeks, and if you look at Duduzile’s 2011 wedding, it’s clear that her father will spare no expense to make her happy.
Consider this, from The Daily Maverick:
The custom-made diamond necklace Duduzile Zuma wore on the day she married ANC-linked businessman Lonwabo Sambudla in 2011 was worth R1.5-million and was heavily guarded by police.
Security in and around the Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve near East London was stepped up over the Easter weekend of 2011 as scores of socialites, celebrities and political big cheeses headed to the wedding of the year.
Under the watchful eye of private security, the presidential protection unit and the SAPS, the couple, who met in 2009 when Duduzile Zuma was a board member of the Gupta-owned Sahara Computers, treated more than 600 guests to a “Parisian-style” wedding.
Her wedding dress was encrusted with Swarovski crystals, and she wore Christian Louboutin shoes.
Yes, sure, this is someone who understands the struggle of everyday South Africans, who is most certainly not acting in her own best interests to try and secure the release of her father.
That 2011 wedding, before the depths of State Capture had been exposed, featured “Sushi King” Kenny Kunene (below) arriving in a black Lamborghini, with Bentley convertibles and Maseratis also present in the convoy.
Duduzile was appointed to the board of Sahara Computers by the Gupta family six months after her father was elected ANC president.
Husband Lonwabo Sambudla (they are currently “estranged”) was also linked to a shady R1 billion tender awarded by the Department of Public Service and Administration, which would become very much par for the course over the years that followed.
But yes, sure, Duduzile is a voice for the voiceless, inciting violence while she sits well-removed from the consequences of her actions.
This is on the money:
They are hungry and jobless because Mr Jacob Zuma sold the state to the highest bidders like the Guptas with the complicity of the entire ANC leadership including Ramaphosa.
The hungry and jobless should march on Luthuli House, Union buildings and Nkandla- not fight themselves. https://t.co/tjGtXYWsBp

Duduzile is not alone – the less said about these ladies the better:

Jessie Duarte, the ANC’s deputy secretary-general, has confirmed that Duduzile would need to answer for her actions, reports The Sowetan:
“It’s not just Duduzile who is behind this, there are five others who have made similar comments on Twitter. They have made comments such as ‘let it burn’ and ‘you’ll reap what you sow’. We are not going to leave it there, she will have to answer where her utterances will lead to,” said Duarte.
From a party that has failed to hold anybody accountable for years, those words ring hollow.
