Danyal Hussein, 19 (pictured above), is on trial for murdering two girls after making a pact with a ‘demon’.
He had handwritten a letter agreeing to “sacrifice women” in order to win the lottery and gain power and sexual potency.
The letter is signed “Danyal” in blood, with a blank space left for the ‘demon’.
The UK teen was charged with the fatal stabbings of Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 27, at Fryent Country Park, London, in the early hours of June 6, 2020.
Sky News reports that he had stabbed them more than 30 times hoping that the devil would grant him the Mega Millions Super Jackpot, worth £321m (around R6,4 billion), in exchange for his “sacrifice”:
Bibaa (left) and Nicole (right) had been out with friends celebrating the former’s birthday, but were found dead the following morning:
Hussein had apparently left them “carefully placed” in an entwined position after dragging their bodies to a hedge without their blood-soaked picnic blankets and cushions.
Officers found the letter along with other documents when they searched his room.
It is also alleged that he offered up his blood to a demon in exchange for a girl at his school finding him sexually attractive and falling in love with him:
Addressing jurors during his closing speech, prosecutor Oliver Glasgow QC said:
“For Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, Friday June 5 was supposed to be a celebration of life, a birthday party, a night where you reflect on the year you have had and look forward to the year that will be.
“For this defendant, however, the celebration he had planned was quite different.
“It was a night of sacrifice and violence…that would see part of his twisted bargain fulfilled and leave him looking forward to the riches he believed would soon come his way.”
Hussein refuses to admit to a “single piece of evidence” linking him to the murders.
But Glasgow is adamant that this is not a mystery murder and that all the evidence points to Hussein.
The Blackheath teen denies the charges of double murder and possession of a knife.
The trial continues.
