What are friends for? Buying you around 12 BDSM bondage hoods and leaving them for you and your guests to find at random times, apparently.
Well, at least that is the kind of friendship that Friends star Courteney Cox, 57, has with ‘Shape of You’ singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, 30.
It was revealed during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Monday that the naughty redhead had jokingly purchased a few BDSM bondage masks for his pal while crashing at her Los Angeles home, Huff Post reports.
While Sheeran is to blame for all the gimp masks that keep appearing around Cox’s home, she had it coming after introducing him to her smart Amazon Alexa digital assistant:
“She has this Alexa thing in her house, and she goes, ‘Yeah, this is wonderful. This is my Alexa. I can just order whatever on this,’” Sheeran said.
That was the moment that the ‘Bad Habits’ singer decided to use his voice for something other than wooing fans from the stage:
“So she walks out of the room and I go, ‘Alexa, order me a gimp mask,’” Sheeran recalled to host James Corden.
Since that first conversation between Sheeran and Alexa proved fruitful, the prank has become a bit of tradition between the good friends.
FYI, despite what might be construed as sexual tension, there’s nothing simmering between the two buddies.
Sheeran, who is happily married and looking after a newborn baby, actually introduced Cox to her current boyfriend.
You can watch him talk about the gimp masks around the three-minute mark:
Looks like he gifted one to Corden, too.
How thoughtful and gracious…
