Ja, no, hey, how about this weather?
Each year, 2oceansvibe declares summer open, but only under a strict set of conditions. We require a full week of sun icons (no clouds whatsoever) for Cape Town on the WeatherPro app, before we make such a proclamation.
You may recall we were forced to resort to ‘unprecedented’ measures last year, but that was very much in keeping with the total gemors that was 2020.
Were we to declare winter open, we would have done so a few weeks back, with frigid temperatures, rain, and wind battering the Cape.
However, this week the Mother City is being given something of a respite, which is in keeping with the warm weather this past weekend.
Via the WeatherPro app, here’s your forecast:
No rain forecast, and whilst we won’t be sizzling hot, this may be your last chance to visit the beach before the sunscreen is well and truly tucked away.
Tuesday is set to break 20°C, and for those headed to Camps Bay, don’t forget about Café Caprice’s Two-For-One Burger Special.
Free-range beef, crispy bacon, cheddar, chilli oil, and onion rings – The Royal Burger has my name on it, but I’ll let you peruse the menu and make your own call.
If you can’t pop out in the middle of the week, Café Caprice also has a Happiest Hours Half-Price Bubbly Special, every Friday from midday through to 8PM.
Who knows when we’ll get another week without cloud cover or rain, so whatever you’re doing, make it count.
