You Can Finally Own The ‘Darth Vader House’ [Images]

This Texan property has been dubbed the ‘Darth Vader house’, and is now on the market for anyone brave (or rich) enough to go over to the dark side.

In a galaxy far, far away (aka Houston, Texas) sits the ‘Darth Vader House’ waiting for a dark lord to buy in and join the dark side.

The two-storey house with intimidating angular structures comes equipped with everything that the Chosen One might need.

With lightsaber-like neon lights around a sunken lounge in an open-plan area, this house might as well be a spaceship – the Dark Lord of the Sith’s personal flagship, the Executor, as well as his infamous TIE Fighter and Death Star to be exact.

The house is fit for any lucky mortal, with four generous bedrooms, closet space “for your Galactic Empire regalia”, five full bathrooms, an office, a dining room, and a kitchen.

As per Robb Report, the furniture and art in the home create a hybrid vibe of elegant, mid-century modern, and abstract futurism:

The overlord’s lair is located on a large lot on a prestigious West University street and offers an impressive 7 000 square feet of living space.

With contemporary styling throughout, it is characterized by a flowing open-plan layout and massive windows that let in plenty of natural light.

The property also comes with a substantial four-car garage where you could park your extra Imperial Star Destroyers or store your lightsabers.

According to Real Estate AU, the house was initially constructed by a surgeon and designed to give off intense supervillain vibes.

That’s an interesting choice for a person whose profession involves helping people, although I can think of many examples where someone’s work is in direct contrast to their play.

Another odd element about the house has to be the sofa:

“The most anti-social sofa ever,” one person said on social media after picures of the house was posted on the Instagram account @zillowgonewild.

“I dig the sofa where four people can sit and not interact,” another added.

The property has been listed by Wade Knight and Nadia Carron of Sotheby’s International Realty and priced at a celestial $4,3 million (just short of R60 million).

That’s not a bad price if you consider it a spot on the dark side.
