Friends: The Reunion should have been seen by fans all over the world by now, marking the actual end of the classic show that has been a part of many people’s lives.
When we revealed the top five moments from the episode last week, even though it hadn’t yet been aired in South Africa, fans in Ireland were busy making memes out of Matt LeBlanc.
Over the show’s 10-year run, memes such as “Smelly Cat” and “How you doin’?” circulated, and now LeBlanc’s look and demeanour is captivating Ireland and causing another round of meme action.
It seems LeBlanc’s chilled attitude, along with his striped button-down short-sleeved shirt, was the perfect combo for the Irish meme-makers.
Mashable has more:
Twitter users were struck by LeBlanc’s similarity to an archetypal Irish uncle [or their “da”], posting pictures of him alongside the type of phrases such men might say.
This frequently involves him being very supportive of his hypothetical family, despite not fully understanding their situation.
It is similar to another meme occurrence; He A Little Confused, But He Got The Spirit, as per Know Your Meme.
Let’s take a look at some of the memes doing the rounds on Twitter, then:

LeBlanc, who is of Italian and French heritage, might be confused by why the Irish have taken such a liking to him, but the outpouring of love is sure to make him get into the spirit of things anyway.
