Yes, that is the one and only David Hasselhoff, appearing in Chicken Licken’s new advert.

I have long sung the praises of the company’s marketing (without so much as a free wing, ahem), spearheaded by Joe Public, and they have again delivered the goods with their new advert, a South African take on Knight Rider.

Except, instead of Michael Knight, we have Michael Nyathi behind the wheel, played by actor Thabo Malema.

This one features Kitt saying ‘now now’, and a number of uniquely South African references to set it apart from the iconic 1980s series.

Seatbelt on, and take a ride.
