People have enjoyed stories of strange objects in the sky for decades.
But in recent times, the Pentagon has been confirming more and more sightings of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), or UFOs as they are more commonly known.
These sightings are not just reserved for the ‘zany’, or people who live in the middle of nowhere anymore, as there are more credible sources stepping onto the scene.
Many commercial pilots and former US Navy pilots are talking about the UAPs they’ve spotted, and the Pentagon often backs them up.
In fact, the Pentagon has promised to release a report on the subject by June 1, reports VICE.
Here’s what John Ratcliffe, former Director of National Intelligence, said on Fox News in March:
“There are a lot more sightings than have been made public.”
Staying on track could prove rather exciting.
In the meantime, 60 Minutes aired a segment, centred on a conversation with Luis Elizondo (in the image above), a 20-year military veteran who worked at the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP).
The segment also includes interviews with several other Navy pilots about their encounter with UAPs:
“Imagine a technology that can do 6 to 700 g-forces, that can fly at 13 000 miles an hour, it can evade radar, that can fly through the air, water, and possibly space, and has no obvious signs of propulsion, no wings, no control surfaces, and yet still can defy the natural effects of Earth’s gravity,” Elizondo said.
“That’s exactly what we [scientists and other experts at AATIP] are seeing.”
Former Navy pilot Lieutenant Ryan Graves witnessed several flying objects hovering in restricted airspace southeast of Virginia Beach in 2014, and has reason to believe that they are not necessarily aliens, but could be foreign drones:
“I am worried, frankly. You know, if these were tactical jets from another country that were hangin’ out up there, it would be a massive issue,” he said on 60 Minutes.
“But because it looks slightly different, we’re not willing to actually look at the problem in the face. We’re happy to just ignore the fact that these are out there, watching us every day.”
Without further ado, here’s that segment:
Okay, so there is definitely something watching us…
