Drones continue to take us to new heights.
We’ve watched them flying through myriad different situations; from adventures over volcanoes, through hurricanes, to showing us various other world wonders.
Like a newborn growing up in this world, drones still have so much to see and experience, and with the rise of drone virtual reality (VR) we are in for one hell of a ride.
This drone takes us through a magnificent fireworks show over St. Petersburg in Russia.
On May 9 each year, Russia pays respect to those who died in what the nation calls the Great Patriotic War – World War II.
An Instagram creator, @dragunov_video, flew his drone through the fireworks display at the event, mounted with what looks like a small model aircraft – put there to possibly emulate what it might have looked like for a WWII aircraft evading ground fire.
The footage is pretty spectacular with the light specks and smoke clouds adding a magical touch to the Russian landscape below.
If you can, surround yourself in darkness, put your earphones in, and put the video on fullscreen:
This is certainly a good distraction from the worrying nuclear activity over in Chernobyl.
