Arguably one of the most anticipated series on the Netflix plate, Stranger Things‘ fourth season edges closer.
Season three came to us in July 2019, so with such a substantial break in between, fans are hungry for more from the kids of Hawkins and their ’80s adventures.
As an appetiser, the teaser trailer for season four dropped yesterday, giving us a sneak peek at what’s to come, especially for Eleven and her fellow test subjects.
While there isn’t an official synopsis yet, there’s been a steady trickle of new information from the series’ cast and crew, and all signs point towards season four being even darker than its predecessors.
CNET provides some of what’s known at the moment:
Previous teasers hinted that season four will explore locations beyond Hawkins, Indiana, and that vanished Police Chief Jim Hopper ended up in Russia.
Its first episode will apparently be called “The Hellfire Club,” which is also the name of a supervillain group in the X-Men comics.
I can hear the spooky, foreshadowing music already.

Here are some set pictures, which also provide some clues about what’s to come in the next season:

But honestly, Hopper is the ultimate tease:

We didn’t get much from that except a sore bottom from sitting on the edge of our seats.
To make it even more intense, the fourth season’s release date hasn’t been revealed yet, so keep your eyes and ear peeled.
