If you to wade deep into the MAGAverse, as the world of Donald Trump supporters is sometimes called, you need a great deal of patience.
That goes for anybody who speaks to a group of people about their political beliefs, to be fair.
It’s not exactly the sort of thing that people are often reasonable or well informed about, and good luck trying to seek compromise.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah‘s Jordan Klepper knows this well, having spent time chatting to people at the Capitol Riots back in January, and much of the past four or so years speaking with Trump supporters in general.
Now he’s reflecting on all that with Jordan Klepper Fingers The Pulse—Into The MAGAverse, which highlights “his surreal year on the 2020 campaign trail, remembering the best moments, sharing never-before-seen footage, and conducting all-new interviews with the people he met along the way.”
Various segments of the full show have been uploaded to The Daily Show‘s YouTube channel over the past week, and this is a great place to start:
Years and years of screaming fake news, and eventually people don’t actually care about facts at all.
Casting our minds back to January 6, and Klepper shares some previously unseen footage from his reporting at the scene:
But hey, it was all Antifa anyway, right?
With Trump no longer on Twitter, and Joe Biden in the White House, the former president of the United States doesn’t feature quite as often in the news, which is a welcome respite after what came before.
