After promoting a car brand in 2018 that most of us had never heard of, and have forgotten about since, David Beckham has made a deal with Maserati to become their new brand ambassador.
Let’s just hope he doesn’t ask his son Brooklyn for any advice about working with massive car brands, though.
Maserati’s first collaboration with Becks is a video of him taking the Maserati Levante Trofeo for a real spin.
Via Motor1, the Italian car brand says they recognise Beckham as “the perfect partner to accompany Maserati on the next leg of its journey, breaking boundaries and driving the brand forward to the forefront of luxury motoring in the 21st century.”
Great score, Becks.
Let’s watch him doing doughnuts now, “just for the sheer joy of doing the unexpected”:
Chef’s kiss.
Beckham had this to say about the collab:
“It’s an exciting time for me to begin this partnership with Maserati; an iconic Italian brand which shares my appreciation for the very best innovation and design.”
“I’m looking forward to working closely with the brand at such a pivotal time in their history and continuing their growth on a global scale.”
In the behind-the-scenes footage, Beckham says it’s his first time doing doughnuts, “officially”:
I don’t blame him for looking as elated as a child on a merry-go-round.
This campaign most certainly comes with a whopping payday, too.
