Is it possible that politics is becoming a bit too transparent these days?
A number of countries have seen a bit too much from their local parliamentary members since meetings are being held in the ‘privacy’ of their own homes.
A Canadian parliamentary member, William Amos, was recently seen starkers by all of his colleagues on a Zoom call meeting of the House of Commons, which he describes as “an unfortunate error”.
We didn’t report about it, but there was a moment for South Africa, too.
Amos has represented the Quebec district of Pontiac since 2015 for the Liberal Party, but his image may have changed in the minds of some Canadians now.
He is seen behind a desk between the Quebec and Canadian flags, “with what appears to be a mobile phone preserving his modesty” reports Sky News.
You have to see it for yourself:
Only the parliamentary members and staff who took part in the meeting would have had initial access to the show, but it seems someone was selling tickets.
Somehow, The Canadian Press got their hands on the picture of the Zoom meeting.
Amos seems sincerely regretful of the whole thing, apologising to colleagues and on Twitter:
I made a really unfortunate mistake today & obviously I’m embarrassed by it. My camera was accidentally left on as I changed into work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to all my colleagues in the House. It was an honest mistake + it won’t happen again.

More from Sky News:
Claude DeBellefeuille, an MP for the opposition Bloc Quebecois party, suggested that parliamentary decorum requires male parliament members to wear a jacket and tie – and a shirt, underwear and trousers.
Speaker Anthony Rota has reminded MPs to always be vigilant when they are near a camera and microphone.
Nobody does this on purpose (unless they’re one of those guys), but surely everyone should be up to speed with how to Zoom by this point?
