Richard Branson has done it again.
Moskito Island, Branson’s second island in the Caribbean that he bought back in 2011, is finally open to the public and it is S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G.
By that I mean it stuns me that there are people out there who can afford $21 000 (or around R300 000) so easy breezy – the price you pay for one night in the cheapest accommodation option available on the island.
Okay, it is for a four-person lodging and has a wine fridge included.
The island is 125 acres – 51 acres bigger than Branson’s Necker Island and only 4 kilometres away- bejewelled with three villas: Headland House, Mangrove Villa, and Beach Villa.
According to NewsAU, a stay during the low season (between June 1 and September 30) will cost $32 500-a-night (around R470 000) for the villas, but rockets to $43 000-a-night (around R620 000) in the high season.
Branson’s estate is also not alone on the island. There are nine other landowners that he sold to, but their locations aren’t open to the public just yet.
The villas come equipped, let me tell you- infinity pools, hot tubs, personal chefs with all food and drinks included in the price, private beaches, tennis courts, and gyms.
Head along to Headlong House where you can enjoy a wraparound infinity pool and circular bar with a view of the ocean.
Excuse me, sir, what do these villas not have? Have-nots, maybe?
