Yesterday was a bad day for the driver of this Lamborghini Huracán Spyder.
Pricing starts from around R5 million, so you can imagine that insurance premiums are going to set you back a chunk each month, too.
Whilst some details surrounding the crash remain unconfirmed, what we know is that the accident occurred yesterday near the intersection of Victoria and Llandudno Road, with The South African reporting that the “alleged speedster lost control on a bend near Llandudno, and saw the front end of the Lamborghini crumble like a crisp packet”.
That seems like a fair description, when you take a look at the images circulating on social media:
It’s reported that nobody was injured in the crash, with the airbags deploying on impact.
You’re not the only getting those ‘2FAST4U’ vibes from this accident.
That image above, and a comment on Facebook, has also sparked rumours around whether or not the Lamborghini was a rental car.
If we get in a little closer…
CRJ Hiring is a car rental company, and on their Instagram account, they do have this listing:

There was also this comment on Facebook, from somebody who claimed to have been on the scene:
That would be a terribly awkward call to have to make to the rental company.
Some footage of the crash site:
This footage shows the state of the vehicle:
That must be a tough watch for the petrolheads out there.
TimesLIVE reports that the vehicle suffered “serious structural and mechanical damage”.
I imagine the same can be said of the driver’s ego.
