A warning that the story below contains references to sexual abuse…
We may never know the full depths of depravity of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, but the laundry list of allegations against him is enough for us to know that he was nothing short of a monster.
Still, every so often a story comes along that still manages to induce shock, and this is one of those.
According to a new lawsuit, filed by a woman known only by the anonymous name Jane Doe against Epstein’s estate, the victim was recruited and groomed by Ghislaine Maxwell in 2007, who sent her expensive gifts and promised that Epstein “could get her highly placed employment”.
Instead, Doe, who was a real estate broker in Palm Beach, Florida, at the time, was allegedly trafficked in 2008.
Maxwell is currently in prison, and doing her best to get bail, whilst facing multiple charges related to the sexual abuse of young women and girls by Epstein.
Doe, then a 26-year-old Muslim who was married with an eight-year-old child, also alleges that she was “mutilated ” by Epstein and his sex ring, and told to say she was 17, reports The Daily Beast:
“For a period extending over five months, Plaintiff was repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted by Epstein, raped and sexually assaulted by others to whom Epstein trafficked her, and forced by Epstein and other persons working on behalf of and/or in concert with Epstein to pose naked and performing sexual acts for photographs and videos,” the lawsuit alleges…
…The lawsuit says Epstein also dragged Doe to a body of water filled with alligators and warned her she’d be fed to the reptiles—as other girls who crossed him allegedly had—if she revealed his sickening abuse. The lawsuit also claims Epstein mutilated Doe.
At the time, Doe says she tried to report being raped at Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion to police, with Maxwell then saying she would call them herself.
Two people claiming to be police then arrived, and threatened to arrest Doe and take away her child, accusing her of being a prostitute.
Doe says that throughout her continued abuse, Epstein and Maxwell spoke of their powerful influence over the likes of the FBI, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, and Florida law enforcement.
She also alleges that Epstein forced her to hold on to “burner phones, wires, and other electronic devices that Epstein was seeking to conceal from discovery by law enforcement authorities”.
Only many years later, when she found out that Epstein had been found dead in his cell, did the fear subside.
Earlier this week, new charges were also brought against Maxwell, and cover a period in the early 2000s when Prince Andrew was spending time with Maxwell and her then-boyfriend Epstein.
