Thief Picks The Wrong Durban Mom To Rob [Video]

Videos of thieves snatching cellphones, or other valuable items, before beating a hasty retreat are a dime a dozen in this country.

They usually end with a shocked victim watching on helplessly.

Usually.

Enter this Durban mother, with CCTV footage from the Barcelona block of flats near Durban’s North Beach turning her into a hit on social media.

According to The South African, nobody was hurt in the altercation. Here’s that CCTV footage:

It’s believed that the thief did make off with the woman’s phone, but there’s an extra sting in the tail.

Whilst fleeing, the thief dropped correctional services parole papers, making it pretty easy for law enforcement to identify him.

Given that he is out on parole for a similar crime, that could come back to hurt him.
