They were once Hollywood’s undisputed power couple, but ‘Brangelina’ is no more, and the details of what led to their split continue to emerge in court.

The latest news comes via court filing from Friday, March 12, in which Jolie says she is willing and able to “provide proof of domestic abuse” by Pitt.

Jolie also says their six children are willing to offer “proof and authority in support” of those allegations, which would include testifying against their father.

The six children are Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, who are 12. Maddox has already spoken publicly about his very strained relationship with his father.

In response, Brad is said to believe the latest filing is an attempt to “hurt” the actor, reports Us Weekly:

“Over the past four and a half years there have been a number of claims made by Angelina that have been reviewed and not substantiated,” the insider says.

“The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behavior. This leaking of documents by her fourth or fifth set of lawyers has been done to hurt Brad.”

The couple separated in September 2016 after Jolie filed for divorce following two years of marriage, and were then declared legally single in April 2019.

Soon after Jolie filed for divorce, Pitt was investigated by the FBI and child welfare services in Los Angeles after reports surfaced that he was “verbally abusive and physical with his children” during a private jet trip home from Europe, and was cleared by authorities.

It’s reported that both Jolie and Pitt must give permission for the three youngest children to testify, although the three older children can decide to do so on their own.

Back in June 2019, Us Weekly added, he and Jolie supposedly were working toward an “amicable” co-parenting relationship as they occupy nearby estates in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.

It’s believed that Pitt did spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day last year with Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, but bitterness between the movie stars derailed further plans of spending the holidays with their father.

Whatever happens from here on out, it’s a sad situation for the former couple, and the children caught up in the middle of it.
