Technically, the 2021 Grammy Awards were this morning here in South Africa, but it’s a Sunday night event over in Los Angeles, so let’s go with that.
As you may have deduced from the image above, Taylor Swift was a big winner on the night, taking home a massive ‘Album Of The Year’ win for ‘Folklore’.
It was also a landmark occasion for the one and only Beyoncé, who broke the record for all-time wins by a woman (and any singer, male or female) when she won her 28th Grammy for best R & B performance for “Black Parade”.
She is now tied with Quincy Jones as the living person with the most Grammys.
Sir Georg Solti, a Hungarian-born British orchestral and operatic conductor who died in 1997, won 31 Grammys during his lifetime.
