Isn’t it nuts what cellphone cameras can do these days?
To win one of the categories up for grabs in the Sony World Photography 2021 Competition, you have to take a stunner, so props to the national award winners of this year’s event.
In total, more than 330 000 images from 220 territories were submitted to the 10 categories of the Sony World Photography Awards 2021, and around half that number were entered into the Open competition, from which the National Awards photos were selected.
50 countries took part, meaning 50 winners, with expert judges choosing the best single image from each of the countries entered into the National & Regional Awards.
We’ve chosen our favourite eight from Forbes’ selection, and up top, you can see Myanmar’s winner, Min Min Zaw.
