Usually, when Cape Town features in an advert, it’s easy to spot.

For example, in the Apple Watch 4 advert from a few years back, the city’s famous landmarks were everywhere.

With the Pringles ‘Flavor Stacking Space Return’ advert that aired on Super Bowl Sunday (which didn’t feature on our best and worst Super Bowl ads list, but is enjoyable), placing the location where it is shot is a little harder.

However, reports Business Insider SA, if you’re familiar with our local actors, you will spot Waldemar Schultz, who once starred in 7de Laan.

Go on, have a guess where in Cape Town this was filmed:

If you said Cape Town Harbour and Granger Bay, well played, with some scenes also shot in Goodwood.

The ad was produced by global advertising agency Grey Group and South African Cuanan Cronwright, who is a group creative director at Grey New York, was a creative lead on the project.

Cronwright was creative group head at Ogilvy and Mather in Cape Town until 2014, when he moved to the US.

I feel like snacking on some Pringles right now, so congrats to those involved.
