Without Fox News, Donald Trump would never have become the 45th president of the United States.
However, after Donald Trump lost his reelection bid, even Fox News had to occasionally deal with reality, leading many of its viewers to disown the network and seek out more partisan coverage.
That’s where networks like One America News and Newsmax benefitted, with both getting regular shoutouts on Trump’s Twitter account.
Remember when Trump could dominate an entire news cycle with a single tweet? Seems like a lifetime ago.
Anyway, eventually airing propaganda and coverage bereft of any truth will catch up with you, and Newsmax is currently being sued by Dominion Voting Systems, after falsely alleging that there had been widespread voter fraud.
The lawsuit seeks a massive settlement and Newsmax has already retreated and read out a humbling on-air apology, whilst doing its best to avoid further legal recourse.
The outlet really shouldn’t have invited huge Trump supporter and continuous pusher of falsehoods Mike Lindell for an interview, then.
The MyPillow CEO was recently banned from Twitter for spreading misinformation, and that was supposed to be what his interview focused on. Instead, reports Vox, he went way offscript:
…his appearance immediately went off the rails as he started spreading lies about election fraud tied to voting hardware made by Dominion Voting Systems.
“Well, first [Lindell’s Twitter account] was taken down because we have all the election fraud with these Dominion machines. We have 100 percent proof,” Lindell claimed, prompting host Bob Sellers to jump in and read a disclaimer.
Lindell didn’t take the hint, forging ahead with his lies about election fraud, and the interview disintegrated to the point where Sellers stood up and exited from his seat on live television.
That left Heather Childers, a former Fox News anchor, to pick up the pieces.
Just a trainwreck all around:

Lindell also said he was going to release a video that proved widespread voter fraud in December, and then again in January, and now that has been pushed back to this Friday.
Spoiler alert – it’s not going to happen.
A reminder that when you see these prominent Republican voices screaming about ‘cancel culture’ on television, they’re on television, and thus are not being silenced.
