One of the things that a mass move to working online has given us is a constant stream of Zoom fails, from people forgetting how the platform works (we can still see you, Karen), to some more serious mishaps.
The New Yorker magazine reporter Jeffrey Toobin’s Zoom behaviour lost him his job.
It has been almost a full year of this now – if you’re still confused, mess around and familiarise yourself with the various Zoom settings, and if you feel the need to do something dodgy after or during a video call, leave your laptop behind and go to a different room.
The latest incident to catch the attention of social media was an interview with Yvette Amos, who appeared on news programme BBC Wales Today on Tuesday (January 26) to discuss her experiences of unemployment during the pandemic.
That’s a pretty serious topic. The pandemic has left millions of people in dire straits.
But that’s not what people took away from the interview. Per The Independent, we’re going to ignore the issues and enjoy the dildo on the shelf in the background.
Twitter declared the image, a screengrab of the interview shared by Grant Tucker, hilarious:
Perhaps the greatest guest background on the BBC Wales news tonight. Always check your shelves before going on air. pic.twitter.com/RK6GCiFuHk

A few words from the Tweeps, some of whom also spotted some ‘bloody handprints’ in the background:

Everyone’s been having a laugh at the dildo-in-bg on BBC Wales. I’m not laughing.
WHAT THE FUCK are those hand prints on the door, yo? pic.twitter.com/kegqHU8r1K

Makes a nice change to see an actual dildo on BBC Wales, as opposed to RT… pic.twitter.com/46xMocOhhW

You can play ‘spot the dildo’ in a snippet from the interview:
Pretty sure she knew it was there, and fair play to her.
Nothing to be ashamed of, is it?
