After years of living at 52945 Humboldt Blvd, La Quinta, Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin have decided to give it all up and move to Florida.
Someone should tell them to Google ‘Florida man‘ before finalising that decision.
Some standout headlines from 2020 include:
‘Once bitten by an alligator, a Florida man gets bit by an 8-foot lemon shark’.
‘Florida man steals parrot from a pet store by putting the bird in his pocket’.
‘Florida man tried to escape cops by stripping naked. Ribeyes fell out of his pants’.
You get the idea.
Anyway, Stallone and Jennifer have put their home on the market at an asking price of $110 million, says Forbes.
The home is listed by Los Angeles-based agency Hilton & Hyland. Do yourself a favour and head on over to the Hilton & Hyland website to see how those on the other side of the tracks live.
Stallone’s 21 000-square-feet Mediterranean-style, soon to be former residence sits atop 3,5 acres of land.
It has eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a spacious library and office, a massive kitchen with two islands, a dining room with hand-painted walls to make it look like an old castle, a lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a cigar room.
There is also a large movie screen in the family room, as well as a full bar.
“This home is built for a king or queen, and the attention to detail is superb,” says listing agent Barron N. Hilton.
“The Stallone family put a lot of love into this home. Most recently, they installed handmade floor-to-ceiling steel windows to give the home a contemporary look. They also added a new guest house designed by Richard Landry.”
There’s plenty of Rocky memorabilia (I bet ‘Eye of the Tiger’ is playing in your head right now), including a statue of Stallone as the character, but I reckon he’ll be taking that with him to Florida.
“It’s the number-one view in Beverly Park,” Hilton says.
“From every single room you have a view: the bedrooms, the master and even the garage,” says listing agent Tessa Hilton. “It’s very well-done and very well-maintained.”
Lovely.
