Things got a little out of hand on Monday when a Mango Airlines flight lost cabin pressure during a trip between Joburg and Durban.
Thankfully, this wasn’t as bad as the FlySafair incident from last year when cabin pressure failed, leaving three passengers bleeding from the nose, five with severe ear pain, and one in need of medical attention.
Apart from the injuries, everyone made it out okay, although the investigation into the incident revealed some worrying problems with the plane.
Back to more recent plane fails.
In a video on Twitter, the origins of which are unknown, passengers on Mango flight JE251 can be heard panicking in the background, as the person filming stays bizarrely calm:

According to News24, Mango Airlines spokesperson Sergio dos Santos confirmed the incident this morning.
In a statement on Twitter, the airline said:
We have referred the aircraft for further technical investigation and we will communicate further once the investigation is concluded. We continue to cooperate with authorities on this investigation and any other pertinent matters. We regret the inconvenience (2/2)

The plane managed to land safely, and no one was injured, so at least it ended peacefully.
