Wow, some really big news out of the United States of America, peeps.
On Sunday, President Joe Biden attended his first Mass after being sworn in as president, visiting the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown, Washington.
Nothing major there, except for the fact that, on the way home, he stopped for bagels at a hot pink shop named ‘Call Your Mother’.
As presidents should, Joe took it easy and sent his son Hunter inside (the son that’s married to a South African) to grab the goods.
It’s all so much to take in. Just huge news, really.
Here’s footage of the presidential motorcade stopped outside the deli:

The deli was pretty stoked to have such high-profile visitors:
What a GREAT Sunday surprise! Thrilled to have an admin again who will love all that DC has to offer — starting with sesame bagels!! Come back anytime @JoeBiden https://t.co/v7yrBrG9hC

So, to the question that has been on everybody’s minds – what sort of bagel did they order?
Andrew Dana, one of the shop’s owners, told Reuters the Bidens “ordered four different bagels with cream cheese or butter”.
I’m surprised they went without blue cheese, which we know is a ‘Mouldy Joe’ staple, but the bagels do look very tasty:

There are four ‘Call Your Mother’ outlets in Washington DC, which produce more than 10 000 bagels a day over the weekend, and they’re said to enjoy “something of a cult following”.
Kinda like a former president I know, although he prefers fast food and ice cream with an extra scoop.
