On January 20, as Kamala Harris and Joe Biden wore sworn in, Donald and Melania Trump’s reign as POTUS and FLOTUS came to an end.
Donald seems to have struggled to let go, having incited an insurrection before finally bidding farewell (“have a good life”), but Melania doesn’t seem all that bothered to have exited the White House.
Many have joked that her smile whilst standing on the stage next to her husband, in the final hours of his term, was as big as it’s been in years, and then there’s what happened when they touched down in Florida last Wednesday.
After hopping off Air Force One in Orlando, her reluctance to hang around for photos led to speculation that she is ready to move on:
Melania is totally done. She already quit posing.

I don’t really think there’s too much in this ‘photo snub’, as The Guardian calls it, whilst adding that the footage is “triggering speculation about the state of her marriage to the now former president”.
This marriage has always been a farce, with former friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff calling it “transactional”, so little has changed.
Let’s not forget that Melania is reported to have delayed moving into the White House so she could renegotiate her prenup with Donald.
Here’s a longer version of the clip above:
I care not one iota for fashion, but what’s up with that dress?
In a recent piece in The New York Times, detailing her time as FLOTUS, society publicist R Couri Hay, an acquaintance of Melania, said she’s certainly relieved:
“I think she was a reluctant first lady and she did it for her husband.”
After she leaves Washington, he said, “I think that you will find that she will be even less visible, and less available.
“Quite frankly,” he said, “I think America should just let her go.”
She can do as she pleases, but the world will never forget some of her more callous actions.
Let’s finish with The Daily Show‘s look back at her time:
