Apologies to anybody who knows this woman.

Not because we’re about to poke fun at her, but because she seems truly insufferable.

Her name is Lindy-Ann Hopley, or ‘Beautiful Witness’ on Facebook, and she is all in on the Trump train.

It’s been reported that she grew up in Cape Town, and her bio says that after finding God, she enrolled in the US “as a student in a Supernatural School of Ministry. Following her graduation in 2015, Beautiful Witness Ministries was officially launched.”

Hopley has been spotted in Washinton DC the last while, and some of her interviews have been widely shared across social media.

One journalist, BBC North America Correspondent Larry Madowo, spoke with Hopley and Kelly Evelyn shortly after President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

You can hear her talk from the 25-second mark to the 2:30 mark, and then she gets back in the game at the four-minute mark:

“We wanna see the laaaat shaaaaan.”

She says she’s not a Democrat or a Republican, and then trots out all of the debunked Republican theories.

When sharing the video on Twitter, Madowo went on to request that we “come for [our] MAGA sister”:

Is it OK if we don’t? Perhaps she can team up with that South African spotted at the storming of the Capitol. He seems like he could use a calming influence in his life.

In an interview with Middle East Eye, from the day of Biden’s inauguration, Hopley accused the new president of being self-appointed:

“Where are the people supporting the president-elect? Was he elected by the people?” she asked, suggesting that the absence of inauguration crowds is somehow proof that Biden did not have enough support to win the presidency.

Hopley also repeated unfounded allegations that left-wing activists were behind the violence at the Capitol on 6 January.

Just that little thing called COVID-19 keeping the crowds away from Biden’s inauguration, pal.
