With the addition of the new 12-sleeper off-the-grid ‘Caracal’ at Cabine du Cap (2,5 hours from Cape Town, in the Klein Karoo), we’ve raised the stakes somewhat.
Hidden TVs, high-speed WiFi and SMEG appliances are great, but a private chef would surely be the cherry on top?
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
The chosen candidate will have a few years cheffing experience (minimum sous chef level), and must be comfortable with everything from baking, broiling and grilling, to desserts and pastries.
The chef will be working alone, and will also need to prepare the table for each meal. Meals will be prepared and cooked in front of the guests, so personal presentation and personality are key.
The Cabine du Cap chef will live on the property – so check out cabineducap.com to familiarise yourself with the vibe.
If you think you have what it takes, please send your CV and photograph to info@cabineducap.com with the subject, ‘Cabine du Cap chef position’.
