Trevor Noah ended 2020 in style, snapping up a $27,5 million (around R425 million) mansion in Bel Air on December 30.
He sold a Bel Air mansion in September last year for $21,7 million, so it’s just a minor upgrade for the host of The Daily Show.
The two homes are only around a mile apart, so he should be able to keep moving costs to a minimum.
Then again, when you’re playing with numbers like this, those are the least of your worries.
Via Page Six, here’s the lowdown:
Nestled in the hills of Bel Air overlooking the enclave’s upmarket country club, the right-angled residence is touted as an “iconic architectural statement” in its listing, held by Linda May and Drew Fenton of Hilton & Hyland, both of whom, through a representative, declined to comment on the deal.
Noah, 36, bought the home last week using a trust, property records show.
Designed by Mark Rios, a fellow of the American Institute of Architects, the six-bedroom home epitomizes the Los Angeles’ hallmark of indoor/outdoor living, according to the listing.
Rather than run you through all of the buzzwords from the listing, let’s set off on a video tour of the home:
Yeah, I could rest my head there.
Architectural Digest has this:
The space is outfitted in stone, bronze, and glass; serviced by an elevator; and adorned throughout with walls of glass pocket doors highlighting the breathtaking aerial views of L.A.
The picturesque backyard features an infinity pool overlooking the city and a two-story cabana offering both covered patio seating and a rooftop sundeck.
Rios, who designed the home, included 18-inch walls to muffle the sounds of Los Angeles, and took inspiration from traditional Japanese architecture.
