Greetings, friends!

Well, here we are, at the end of the worst year of your life. It’s all downhill from here, right?

So much to reflect on. I think a big congrats and farewell to the cast and writers of The White House reality show, starring Donald J. Trump. This latest Season four was unbelievable – a bit too unrealistic, to be honest. That said, I have a feeling they’ll push for a reunion in a few years time. We should have exhausted SA’s blue cheese supply by then.

COVID-19 has well and truly descended on Constantia, so we have exited, stage left. Jogging with a 50-metre gap between you and a friend, because they may or may not have contracted the virus when they bumped into so-and-so at Constantia Village, is no way to live.

On that note, we send our thoughts and prayers to the holidaymakers in Plett, who aren’t able to frolic in the waves. Tragic. But you’ve still got the lagoon, right?

It seems this year the winners will be the GP visitors in Camps Bay. They’ve got hardly any international tourists to compete with, so that means more parking spaces to use for the McLaren. Sadly we will miss you during the annual Café Caprice to Camps Bay beach and back again infinite loop.

We are toasting you from Caracal, where we will finally be able to watch the Queen’s Christmas Message, on an actual TV. Streaming DStv, of course. Yup, Klein Karoo off-grid internet is now streaming at 10mb/s. Sonos going simultaneously. Terribly exciting!
