The jewel in the Klein Karoo’s crown – ‘Caracal’ – a 12-sleeper mountain top villa, set within the 175-hectare private Cabine du Cap estate, is finally complete.
Caracal is 2,5 hours from Cape Town (just outside Montagu, off the R62) and is off-the-grid, with purified water, high-speed Internet, Africology toiletries, 300-count linen by LINON, JURA coffee machine, SONOS sound, SMEG appliances, hidden streaming TV with Netflix, bronze cutlery, cliff-dangling swimming pool, suspended fireplace and custom Sherwell Interiors pieces.
Architecture by Migs+Drew architects, landscaping by Tone Alexander, interiors by Malawi Cane and Sherwell Interiors, and ceiling fans by Timber Fans.

Caracal Mountain villa is 100% sustainable, and built with local rocks and sustainable wood from Rare Woods.
Breakfast is included, with a private chef on hand for pre-planned meals or dishes on the fly.
It’s basically a hotel, on a mountaintop, in the middle of nowhere.

It’s all terribly civilised!
